Top of Mind (Q1 2020)

January 18, 2020

Each quarter, we will share three things that we are keeping Top of Mind

Here’s our latest list:

1.) 20 for 2020 – I shared this concept with you last year as well, but I loved the concept so much I have made it an annual tradition. I was first introduced to this concept on the Podcast “Happier with Gretchen Rubin.”

It’s simple – you create a list of items (the number of which corresponds with the year – hence 20 for 2020) you wish to accomplish in the new year. There are no rules – you decide what goes on the list. However, it’s suggested that you focus on action items vs outcomes. For instance, instead of saying, “ I want to lose 20 pounds,” you could instead list “go to the gym 5 times per week” or “only eat out once per month”

Want to create your own list? Gretchen Rubin created this neat template you can use – or get creative and design your own!

Be sure to share your lists with me and keep me posted on your progress! Here’s to 2020 being the best year yet!

2.) Tax time – Another year over – which can mean only one thing. Time to get your taxes in order! This helpful article from Charles Schwab outlines a few things to keep in mind for the 2019 tax year

3.) Wealth blind spots – this fun & interactive game from Schwab and the Wall Street Journal helps to illustrate some financial blind spots. Play the game today and make it your new year’s resolution to resolve any blind spots you may have!
